uploading Large Sculptural Candle-Holder by Ray Fink
U.S.A.
1960s
A beautifully-crafted sculpture by Ray Fink (1922-1998), who headed the basic design curriculum at Arizona State Unversity since 1958. A graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Design, Fink's work in the 1950s was a reaction against the dominant abstract expressionism of the New York School.

This enigmatic candle-holder is about the same height as a person. The original candle, carved by the artist, is not shown but accompanies the piece.
