Unusual "Chinoiserie" Tray Table by Piero Fornasetti Italy ca. 1950 A black metal serving tray, lithographed in gold with fanciful Chinese garden scenes, nestles atop a black-lacquered (with gold highlights) wooden table, also in a vaguely Ching Dynasty style. A rare, chic, and almost surreal, piece. Signed with paper label to underside: [Fornasetti Milano Made in Italy]. Price $1,600 Condition The tray has a few dents from use; these are hard to see, and thus do not detract very much at all. The table itself is in very good vintage condition. Retains original label.
